About

Mike Margulis came up in New York City — drummer, singer, and writer for acclaimed bands Slag and Axis/Orbit, playing venues from the Lower East Side to Harlingen. He knows what it means to make sound that moves people.
That path shifted when he discovered the handpan and began exploring the science of sound as medicine. Not metaphor. Actual, measurable nervous system response to analog vibration and frequency.
He brought that knowledge to the Rio Grande Valley — and built Sound Sanctuary RGV, the Valley's first dedicated sound meditation studio, in Weslaco, Texas.
Mike draws on years of experience as a coach, business leader, and motivator — his MBA background informs his approach to team-building and organizational wellness. Whether working with a single person or a room full of people, he creates experiences that are grounded, effective, and free of fluff.
The Studio
Sound Sanctuary RGV is a physical studio in Weslaco, Texas — not a pop-up, not a yoga room add-on. A dedicated space designed for sound meditation.
That matters. The acoustics, the atmosphere, the instruments — all of it is calibrated for the work. When you walk in, the outside world stays outside.
We are the first of our kind in the RGV. Come see what that means.

No experience needed. No preparation required. Just show up.
